[photogallerylink id=36613 align=left]When [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Chris Brown[/lastfm] appeared in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom yesterday for his probation progress report hearing, he was also seeking to have modifications made to his restraining order.  The restraining order, which was issued after his conviction in the beating of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rihanna[/lastfm], had kept him at least 100 feet away from her.  RadarOnline.com is now reporting that modifications were indeed granted by Judge Patricia Schnegg yesterday.

The restraining order was dropped to a level one, which means that the Brown and Rihanna may have contact with each other as long as he does not harass or molest her.  Rihanna was not in court, but a statement given by her lawyer indicated that she was fine with the modification.  According to her attorney, Donald Etra:

I have spoken with my client, and she does not object to it being modified to a level one order.

And here is the judge’s ruling:

I’m approving the order…you can’t annoy, molest, or conduct surveillance of the person on the order.

Brown has had an impeccable record of positive reports in his probation status hearings, and yesterday was no exception.  Judge Schnegg praised him for completing his 52 week domestic violence counseling.

Meanwhile, Brown is focused on the release of his upcoming album F.A.M.E.
