[photogallerylink id=29489 align=left]There have been lots of internet rumors claiming that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ciara[/lastfm] will be released from her label, LaFace/Jive Records. Well, Ciara isn’t going to just sit back and let the rumors swell. She took to her Facebook account last week to address the rumors, and turns out, being dropped from Jive wouldn’t be such a bad thing for her.
According to Ciara:
It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, it’s at that point where I feel we don’t share the same views on who I am as an artist.
She goes on to claim that her label showed no support with Gimme Dat:
I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them.
Jive also made headlines last week when they chose to drop American Idol contestant David Archuleta from the label.
