Orlando-based Full Sail University is in full force when it comes to their alums being represented at tonights 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards.  A grand total of 74 Full Sail grads are associated with 53 of the nominated GRAMMY projects, ranging from Album of the Year to Best Engineered Album-Classical. And if [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm]’s Recovery picks up the GRAMMY for Album of the Year, there are two Full Sail alums that will reap the benefits.

All five nominees for Album of the Year, including “The Fame Monster” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], “Teenage Dream” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm], “Recovery” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm], “The Suburbs” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Arcade Fire[/lastfm], and “Need You Now” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Antebellum[/lastfm], have Full Sail influences .

Over the past 19 years, Full Sail University grads have worked on 16 GRAMMY-award winning Album of the Year releases.

The following Full Sail grads will be picking up a GRAMMY statue of their very own if their nominated projects win.

  • Phil Tan, Mixing, Album of the Year, Teenage Dream, Katy Perry
  • Graham Marsh, Engineer, Record of the Year, F*** You, Cee Lo Green
  • Kory Kruckenburg, Engineer, Best Engineered Album-Classical, Eliesha Nelson: Complete Viola Works, Quincy Porter
