102 Jamz and Athletes are Giving Help for the Holidays to Families in Need
Orlando, FL – With the holiday season rapidly approaching, it is good to see the Central Florida entertainment industry giving back. Ricky Padilla of WJHM, 102 Jamz, Chucky Atkins of the NBA, and Keiwan Ratliff of the Florida Tuskers UFL Team have partnered with the City of Orlando to provide “Help for the Holidays” to fifty (50) low-income families in the Parramore District of Orlando, a neighborhood known for its high poverty and crime rates, on Friday, December 17 from 3PM – 5PM at the J.B. Callahan Center.
“It’s no greater feeling in the world than being able to give to those that are in need. Giving feeds the soul and when you give to others you receive so much more. I am happy and fortunate to be in a position to help families that reside in Parramore,” says Ricky Padilla. During this event families will be provided turkeys and $25 Walmart gift certificates, as well as there will be music, a live performance from Central Florida’s own Prote-J of Ajust Entertainment, and special appearances from various professional athletes, celebrities, 102 Jamz personalities, and of course, Santa Claus.
“This year the economy has affected many families throughout Orlando. I am happy that I am able to use my celebrity to help provide meals for families in need this holiday season,” says Chucky Atkins, understanding the importance of giving back to those less fortunate. “I know that I am able to provide for my family, but I was also taught as a child, to be very thankful for what I had, because there were a lot of people who had less. So because I am blessed, I want to pass my blessings on,” says Keiwan Ratliff in full agreeance with his co-host.
