Kanye West Says He Feels Alone, Goes On Another Twitter Rant
This morning I posted an excerpt from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm]‘s upcoming interview with the Today Show addressing his past comments about President George Bush being a racist. Well apparently Kanye is not happy about the outcome of the interview and he went on another twitter rant this morning to express his concerns.
[pullquote quote="Sometimes it's not simple, some days it's not easy... I just want to create." credit="Kanye West"]
The rapper took to twitter yesterday evening to express his feelings about how the media is constantly scrutinizing him all of the time because of his past mistakes. Kanye wrote,
Ye’ talks about not appreciating how the Today Show tried to force his interview by turning it into a negative one. Kanye says his entire purpose for doing the interview was to shed positive light on the Bush incident and apologize for his actions.

Weigh in from the author:
If I may personally weigh in, being that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm] is one of my favorite rappers (and yes of all time..oh the irony!), I believe that the media should let up on slandering Ye’ for a minute. I think he’s paid his debt for his actions and just like most celebrities he has made some unreasonable mistakes but they should be forgotten. Let’s not forget the reason Kanye West is here; for entertainment purposes. Yes, while the President Bush and Taylor Swift antics were once entertainment, it seems that the media is beating a dead horse.
Is hip hop still about being expressive? If so, what’s the crime here? I understand that being expressive is not an excuse for being rude or uncivilized; however were people still talking about Bill Mahr after his ‘911’ rants 10 years later? What about the Tommy Lee and Kid Rock fight at the 2007 MTV VMA’s? Since when is it uncool to be politically incorrect in hip hop? Since when have politics ever become a subject that people tip toe around?
Though I do not promote racism nor does this station, Kanye West expressed his feelings at the time. Ye’ said it best in his own words, “In a situation of high emotion like that, we as human beings don’t always choose the right words.” At the time of Hurricane Katrina there were many mixed emotions going through the hearts and minds of Americans. Some people felt the same as Kanye West, while others felt that President Bush had a different agenda other than rescuing the unfortunate victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
Kanye West creates and produces some of the most epic music that this world has to offer. When did it start being about his character, and stop being about his art form?
Though I am not Kanye West and I can’t speak for his feelings, I can however imagine that it would take a lot to put your pride and arrogance aside to apologize on a live platform in front of the world. I just wish people would now put their pride aside and respect the man for what he is, an entertainer.
