After having four singles released over the past few years featuring artists such as Mary J. Blige (Sumthin’s Gotta Give), Andre 3000 and Sleepy Brown (Looking For You), and Gucci Mane (Shine Blockas), Big Boi’s Solo effort “Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty” was never released to the masses.
Finally it looks like the co-founder of the Atlanta based duo Outkast has locked in a date to release his solo project to the people.
Unlike Speakerboxxx/The Love Below Big Boi and Andre 3000 will be releasing their upcoming solo projects separately.
The record will feature appearances by T.I., Sleepy Brown and Jamie Foxx, and has been slated for a July 6 release. But Don’t worry Outkast fans, both Big Boi and 3000 have confirmed that work will begin on the next Outkast album once both solo projects have been released.
